Carrellee's forthcoming EP, Kingdom, offers a refreshing, understated meditation on love, life, and loss. With a voice reminiscent of Emmylou Harris and Beth Gibbons (Portishead), Carrellee weaves lyrical themes of melancholia and yearning into a gentle, harmony-laden Americana soundscape.  Kingdom was engineered, mixed, and mastered by Jacob Detering at Red Pill Studios in St. Louis, Missouri, where alt-country band Son Volt recorded their latest release (Notes of Blue).

Carrellee’s seven-song EP, Kingdom, will be released for download on iTunes, Spotify, and other digital outlets on July 21st, through Gold Ship Records.

Gold Ship Announces Co-Ownership of Abide Drum Co.

Gold Ship Records is incredibly excited to announce a new co-ownership with Abide Drum Company.

Abide is a Bristol based custom drum manufacturer that specializes in stave snare drums. They focus on using exotic woods to build rare and one-of-a-kind snare drums for the everyday drummer. They make it a priority to produce a quality and unique sound that is specific to the drummer's needs. No two drums are alike.

Long time friends and drummers, Andrew Sergent (founder and president of Gold Ship Records) and Coby Addison had talked for years about starting a custom drum company. After sitting down and hashing out the details, they created Abide, a name that goes back to their similar Scottish roots, meaning, "hold fast."

The Abide Drum Co. will currently be operating out of the Gold Ship Records office on 12 6th Street in Bristol, Tennessee.

Both Gold Ship and Abide are excited for the future and the development of music, both locally and internationally, with Gold Ship's strong foundation in other countries.

Be sure to check out Abide's interview with Blue Ridge Outdoors Magazine, and drop by their website! You can also find them on Facebook/Instagram for updates and drum builds!
