Mark Webb Jr. Returns with “Original Sin” — Out Halloween 10.31.25
It’s been a long wait since Mark Webb Jr.’s last release in 2022, but the South Carolina singer-songwriter is back — and this time, he’s bringing something that hits on every level. “Original Sin” is a song that feels like comfort wrapped in nostalgia — the kind of tune that brings you back to late-night drives, coming-of-age summers, and those bittersweet memories of youth that never quite leave.
“The melody and lyrics for the chorus popped in my head one night after watching Forrest Gump,” Mark recalls. “It kinda just fell out of the sky, and wrote itself in a short amount of time. Life is like a box of chocolates.”
That sense of effortless inspiration runs through every note of “Original Sin.” Sonically, the track draws from the music that shaped him growing up.
“So many genres have influenced me over the years,” Mark says. “I feel like this song is a good representation of what I love about songwriting, a nice blend of everything that’s shaped me. A good mix. Kinda like me.”
Emotionally grounded yet sonically expansive, “Original Sin” feels like both a reflection and a revival — the perfect return for an artist whose authenticity always finds its way to the heart of the listener.
Mark Webb Jr.’s single “Original Sin” drops Halloween — October 31, 2025 on all streaming platforms.
